Cymfony is seeking a Business Analyst to join our growing Professional Services team. The primary responsibility of this position is to analyze the content and data captured by the Cymfony listening platform to deliver relevant insight and recommendations impactful to the client's business goals.

This candidate will engage across multiple functions to maximize the ultimate quality of client deliverables. These include helping the sales team to optimally scope client engagements, assisting operations to ensure the study design is implemented accurately, and work collaboratively with client management team to ensure relevant findings in the report are communicated to the client.

This candidate must be energetic, intelligent, intellectually curious and creative, possess a strong work ethic and a sense of humor. The ideal candidate will also feel comfortable multi-tasking and working in an "urgent," often stressful environment. S/he must have a high degree of intellectual curiosity and demonstrable analytical experience and success, both qualitative and quantitative, with the ability to apply this experience to the emerging nature and evolving demands of social media analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and interpret quantitative and qualitative analysis of traditional and social media
• Write reports and prepare client deliverables, weaving a coherent story relevant to key client business issues, goals, and objectives.
• Work closely with the Account management team to define the research methodology
• Work with Sales and Partner Sales in a business development capacity
• Work with the Product Management team to assist in the definition of product features and functionality

Qualifications

• Excellent written, verbal and diplomacy skills
• Solid time management skills, with a strong ability to multi-task
• Laser focus on detail
• A resounding sense of urgency
• Expert skills with manipulating numbers and charts in Excel, PowerPoint and MsWord
• A high degree of finesse while working in a fast-paced, often stressful client driven environment
• An uncanny ability to dive right in, with guidance and support, when available
• Bachelor's Level Degree from a top school is required, as is a strong academic record.
• Three to Eight years working experience in research related field
• PC experience with expert knowledge of the Microsoft suite of applications as well as solid Internet research skills.
• Experience with data analysis, marketing research and online research is necessary; exposure to PR/Journalism/Marketing is helpful
