Andrew Bernstein

Chief Executive Officer, Cymfony
Andrew Bernstein brings 17 years of executive and growth company leadership experience to Cymfony. Prior to Cymfony, Andrew was Managing Partner of HotHouse Venture Partners, an early stage venture capital and consulting organization. He has co-founded and managed three companies in health care and technology, in addition to assisting several others grow and reach profitability. Prior to Hothouse, Andrew was the COO and Executive Vice President of Articulate Systems, a software company specializing in voice and data applications that was acquired by Lernout & Hauspie. Prior to Articulate, Andrew founded and started the international division of a $600 million consumer products company and also worked in investment banking. He has lived and worked in London, Hong Kong, and New York. Andrew received his bachelor's degree from Brown University and an MBA from Harvard University. In addition to Cymfony's board, he currently serves on several for profit and nonprofit boards.

Scott English
Vice President, Business Development, Hearst Interactive Media
Scott English is the Vice President, Business Development of Hearst Interactive Media, a position he has held since January 1999. His responsibilities include pursuing and managing the corporation's strategic investments and initiating new interactive businesses in partnership with other corporations and venture capital firms. He also acts as an internal development resource for Hearst businesses as they pursue their own interactive strategies. Since joining Hearst, English has overseen investments in XM Satellite Radio, Quokka Sports, Star Media, Circles, MetaTV, Cymfony and The Newsmarket. Mr. English holds board positions at Cymfony and The Newsmarket and is a designated observer at MetaTV.

Mr. English joined the Interactive Group in 1995 and oversaw business development and strategy for Hearst's HomeArts.com network of magazine websites. He moved into his current role after helping to orchestrate the merger of HomeArts.com and Women.com, which has since merged with iVillage. Prior to Hearst, English worked in the magazine division of Conde Nast. Mr. English graduated with a B.A. in Literature from Trinity College and earned his MBA from Columbia University

Christopher W. Lynch

Managing Director, Ascent Venture Partners
Chris has twenty-eight years of venture capital experience, twenty of which have been spent with Ascent. Chris began his venture capital career in 1977 at TA Associates, and Chris later joined the Massachusetts Capital Corporation, where he served as an Investment Officer and Vice President. In 1984, Chris became President of MCC Corp., a spin-off of Massachusetts Capital Corporation that focused in the technology and broadcasting industries. Other current board seats include CardScan and ZoomInfo.

Peter Meekin

Managing Director, Trident Capital
Peter Meekin is a Managing Director of Trident Capital. He has more than 20 years experience in software, information services and technology consulting. Prior to joining Trident Capital, he was Vice President of Venture Development at Enterprise Associates, LLC, the venture capital division of IMS Health. He has also held senior technology and management positions with The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation, Lotus Development Corporation, and IBM. He also has hands-on entrepreneurial experience having launched three start-up companies in the software and consulting industries. Mr. Meekin serves on the Board of Directors of Berkeley Enterprise Partners, Inc., Circles, Inc., Cymfony, Inc., MainControl, Inc., and Arxan Technologies, Inc. He also serves as a Board Observer of IBEX Process Technology, Inc. He earned a B.S. in mathematics from the State University of New York at New Paltz.

Alfred C. Sikes

Former President Hearst Interactive Media, Consultant to The Hearst Corporation on Technology-enabled Media Investment
Alfred Sikes has led a distinguished career in the technology and broadcast industries as well as serving in several key public offices. Currently, Mr. Sikes is the Chairman of the Reading Excellence and Discovery Foundation (READ). From 1993 until 2001, he formed and led Hearst Interactive Media where key accomplishments include major partnerships for Hearst in sites as diverse as Women.com Networks, brandwise.com, and GoodHome.com, along with a successful portfolio of strategic minority investments in Internet companies. Prior to joining Hearst, Mr. Sikes had a distinguished career in the broadcast industry and as a top-level federal and state government official. On the federal level, Mr. Sikes held the post of chairman at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) from 1989 to 1993. Mr. Sikes serves on the Boards of Directors of Hughes Electronics, iVillage and Cymfony, in addition to several non-profit organizations.
